Massachusetts state troopers suspended after utilizing coaching academy as Slip ‘N Slide


Two Massachusetts State Police troopers have been suspended with out pay for turning a hallway on the state police academy right into a makeshift “Slip ‘N Slide” recreation.

Trooper Douglas Grout was suspended 45 days and Trooper Ryan Stanley 30 days after it was revealed they ordered trainees to slip shirtless, headfirst down a hallway flooring doused with water, WCVB-TV reported.

The troopers have been disciplined after video of incident, which occurred earlier this 12 months, surfaced. Grout recorded and shared the video with others, the information outlet reported.

It confirmed one of many trainees sliding face-first on his abdomen alongside the watery walkway. Apparently security wasn’t completely ignored: the male trainee was sporting a security helmet.

Grout received’t be eligible for the following two promotional exams, and Stanley received’t be eligible for the following promotional examination.

Both troopers have been faraway from their posts on the academy following a probe by the state police.
